PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A Solo Project inspired by Nicky Case's game design process.
goal of the project
To create an experimental interaction exploring the paradox of being both unique and socially acceptable.

What "The Odd Ones" aims to explore?

The Odd Ones is an experimental activity exploring identity and the tension between uniqueness and conformity in society. Each character begins with a unique hat, symbolizing individuality. When someone adopts a new hat that garners appreciation, others follow, turning it into a trend—rendering it no longer unique.

Conversely, as certain hats become dominant, those with less popular hats form minority groups, fearing ostracization. This cycle reflects the human desire to stand out while simultaneously seeking acceptance, highlighting the fleeting nature of being "unique" in a society driven by trends and conformity.
